My reflection on the whole time we were working on the hero project I thought that it was really awesome that we were able to experience this. It was really fun and we got to hear different languages that we haven’t even heard at all, we got to see someone else’s heroes and share our heroes with the world. If you really think of it we are just a few kids in a small school, that started with just a small blog but then it became a huge international project including 9 different countries that really wanted to interact with us. We were jumping for joy when we got 1 new visitor and now we already know that other countries are going to be visiting our blog do we are okay with it. One of my favorite memories is when we got our first welcome package from Ontario, Canada. We were really happy when we saw that they sent things from The Winter Olympics. I was struck with happiness when we heard that other countries and gotten our welcome package. Then on top of that one of the countries said that they were sending pictures of our California Poppies!!! Now that is just aweosme if you ask me. In the beginning I wasn’t really excited because I didn’t think that we would interact as much as we are. In the past week Mrs. Gillum, Mrs. Pechan and many of us were going crazy and strugggling with our webpages and videos. Geting ready for the stuff today on Open House is aweosme and crazy cleaning our room, cleaning our desks, displaying our projects, displaying our floats, and making enough room for our book shelves. When I thought that I wasnt going to be able to do this or it wouldnt come out as nice as anyone elses I had to figure out to bring myself up instead of down and that was really hard for me to do. All I know at the end is that this will be a moment in life that I will never forget.

In Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief a fictional story by Rick Riordan, Percy gets in a fight with the mother of monsters named Echidna and her son Chimera. During the fight something very revealing happens and it is that Percy is powerful in water.
Percy notices this when the Chimera’s snake tail bites his ankle he can feel the poison rushing from his ankle to his chest so he jumps in the Mississippi River and out of the blue in a split second he can’t feel the poison any more and any other wounds are healed. Then he hears a voice say, “What do you say Percy?” He replies, “Thank you …? Thank you Father!!” He gets his sword back and he is able to get away from the Chimera and her evil mother Echidna.
Everyone should remember that there are some times in life were you can figure things out about you’re self whether they are good or bad.

One Literature Circle job I have had is Discussion Directer. What Discussion Directer does is they right questions about what they read. Some questions I wrote about Johnny Tremain is Why did Mrs. Lyte say all those nice things to Isahnna if she wanted to take the cup away from Johnny and Johnny is sorta close to her? Another one is I woinder what it would be like to be a paper girl??? Another thing that Discussion Directer does is make sure the Literature Circle group runs smoothly.

When I was on winter vacation for 2 weeks(woo)I was at home for the first couple of days. It was pretty boring because all I did was plop my lazy behind on the computer chair with my older sisters comfy Cowboys (football team) Snuggie and play games all day. Soon I started feeling like a lazy sloth so I thought to my self instead of playing games I should go outside and play but that day none of my friends came and knocked on my door to play and I didn’t like knocking on other peoples door so I just stood inside. Well it’s back to playing games all day. Maybe I can be inside and get physical. After a few days of trying to get physical it was the end of my time to sleep in all day. For my last day I put on my yellow, paint stained comfy pajamas.
Oh darn no more time to sleep in and, well , its time for the holidays(presents, presents, presents). For Christmas Eve and Christmas I went to my grandmas and grandpas house. We ate some tamales (those are a Mexican tradition food that we make it is wrapped in some corn husk and you unwrappe the con husk and start eating the meat and vegetables wrapped in the masa but you don’t unwrappe the masa). When I was done eating I started to wait for the time to open my presents and go home but it took longer for 12:00 to hit but no worries. After playing a little bit of Pokemon (a popular card game), and a bit of freeze tag with my cousins it was finally 12:00 and time to open my presents. After our presents I give everyone a hug and kiss and I am outta there.
New Years!!!
It is New Years day and I am anxioiusly awaiting 2010. While we are all bored my older sister decides to spend some time dancing with me and my cousins. My grandpa neve see’s us dancing so he ahd to make sure he got some footage of that. Soon it’s 11:58 and we are rushing to find a channel with a countdown but it’s too late it’s 12:01 but we still yell happy new years and give eveyone a hug and kiss.

In my family we have many, many, many traditions. One of my family’s traditions is when a girl turns 15 we give her a quinceanera. At the quincenera we have a father daughter dance and a shoe ceremony. Other than that we have many other traditions. Traditions like we celebrate Christmas with presents and a gathering of the family and homemade tamales. But every year we notice a new baby is born healthy and happy and it adds to our family. This year we have a new baby girl. We each give speeches of how lucky we are for that new child. After all of our speeches we say a prayer that means Christmas isn’t just about presents, it’s about the celebration of the birth of Jesus. When we are done with our prayers we sing, “Amazing Grace”. Then we open our presents and have a great time.
